Will Saudi consulate in Mumbai accept visa applications in the week of 8 October 2007?

I called saudi consulate in mumbai, they are saying they will process work visas in the week of 08/10. However my agent in Mumbai says that they do not take the applications in week before Eid. I cant decide weather I should go to Mumbai or not.

it will be better to wait as the eid holidays starts from second week.anticipate delay and proceed is the best way.

I wonder what your agent's agenda is.  Yes, they will, but the sooner the better - personal peculiarities may influence the outcome.

sorry i made a mistake in your previous question:

Beginning Thursday, September 13, 2007 the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia will be open from 10am to 3pm for Ramadan.

The Embassy will be closed from Monday, October 8 through Friday, October 12 for Columbus Day and the Islamic Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

Regular working hours (9am to 5pm) will resume on Monday, October 15.
