Will Segweg be a global road vehicle?

It is a nice vehicle for single person, safe and balanced with two side wheels.

With how our communities are setup (in the US) it would be very difficult to incorporate the Segway as a road vehicle.

Problems include:

Carrying objects, such as groceries, or items for work (backpacks, computers, etc)

Keeping up speed with high velocity vehicles.

Weather. Rain, snow, ice, cold, etc.

Familys. Can't really travel with the family on a Segway.

Travelling long distances. The Segway battery is good for only so long, and in my area, the average commute is 35 minutes in a car.

They are safe but you have to remember that the other drivers are not and the cost of insurance as well as the rise in deaths would be sky high.
