  1. Lower at first but raise after that when the econommical befits start taking affect it will raise them

  2. Its been proven over and over again that if you reduce taxes you spur the economy which creates higher tax revenue. Even Democrats know this.

The second course is to stop the Democratic Congress from spending.

  3. Raise.   By lowering tax rates.

  4. He'll lower it. He plans on giving tax cuts ONLY to the wealthiest 0.01% of Americans and tax cuts to Corporations. No cuts for the middle class.

Since he has no economic programs (being a hands-off laise faire capitalist), the economy will continue to shrink as the middle class spends less and less.

Reagan gave tax cuts ACROSS the board. Increased middle class spending spurred economic growth, not giving tax cuts to the rich.

  5. George W. Bush lowered taxes in 2001.  Total tax revenue (indexed for inflation) didn't reach the 2000 numbers again until 2006 - see my link for more info.  So yeah, past experience says that tax revenue will go down.

The Tax Policy Center evaluated McCain's plan (also linked), and predicted that it would add $5 trillion to our national debt.
