where is all this coming from that he wasn't good enough at Villa? their fans loved him he was known as super shaun maloney...MON came out and said today he is saddened he has gone as he had a place on his first team...

He played 30 games for Villa so hardly first name on the team sheet. He also scored 5 times so a goal every 6 games albeit in a harder league to score.

I cannot see him getting a starting slot with Celtic so it is going to be difficult for him to hit the ground running, so it's a matter of taking his chance when it comes unless someone is leaving.

It will be a difficult start but I think he has more in his locker than players like Naka, so I look forward to wgs first couple of team selections and substitutions.

Well as history has told us, players returns are never normally success-full, and in Maloneys case, he will have to be a hit, or the fans will turn on him, the Celtic faithful have a habit of this. And to be honest who is getting dropped for him to get a game, and why was he not good enough for Villa, but is good enough for Celtic, back-ward step if you ask me...
