Will Steve Bracks' plan for a desalination plant go ahead under Brumby's campaign?

Steve Bracks was talking about a desalination plant last year. when he retired, the question was raised. will brumby continue Bracks' plan?

also do you think the plant will be worth it?

Not in the original form.  They aren't really cost effective now, but may become so as water becomes more in demand and short  in supply.
