Will Stoke do better than Derby

Question

You'd think it would be impossible to do worse than Derby did last season, but I'm not sure if Stoke can do better.

Their squad has only 2 Premiership-class footballers; Lawrence and Kitson.

On the other hand, they went up with a tough style, so can that work in the Premiership.

Or will they actually stay up?

How do you think Stoke City will do next season and give reasons.

Yes because they can score more goals than Derby, the proved it in the championship last season - i still think they may go down though

I'm a gunner fan, and I truly believe Stoke can do enough to beat Derby. I wouldn't even go there and compare the two teams cause Derby were and still are shite. West Brom might pull a rabbit out of the hat and not get relegated.

i think stoke will do well, judging from their past performances in the lower division. BUT, u cant say anything about how they will cope in the premiership. i think they just might be another wigan, if they get lucky, that is.

Stoke should definitely do better than what Derby did last season, but not neccessarily stay up.

You're right to say that Stoke lack Premier League-quality players. However, I doubt they'll will fare worse than Derby. Remember that Stoke have been showing mid-table consistency down there for some time already, while Derby, prior to their accidental promotion, were one of the less-consistent sides in the Championship. Derby were really poor last season, with only Savage and Carroll anywhere near good enough, (and those were brought in only in January) and I find it hard for Stoke to do worse than them. They play a rather defensive style, and I think that should allow them to hold their own against stronger Premier League sides.
