PS: Yi is probably gonna be another nowitski. remember people thought nowitski was a horrible player and look where he is now.

BTW Yi put up better stats as a rookie than dirk

It will take time for him to get used to the NBA style of play, just like it took Yao and last year Yi. You have to understand that Yao wasn't all that good his first year especially because besides learning a new style of game, you have to adapt to the culture, the language, and the teammates.

Talent-wise he has the potential to be a decent player, maybe not all-star status but good enough to start for the Lakers. He has a good size, excellent passer, decent shooter, and he's athletic. I think playing with Kobe can result to either stepping up to the challenge of playing alongside the reigning MVP or getting buried in the bench. I hope he can step up but like most players that come out of Europe or Asia or even high school he will likely struggle his first year.

He will eventually get it after 3 years in my opinion. Hopefully he is determined to make it in the NBA and will play hard and give it his all. If he does that then sky's the limit.
