YES because they have the pieces they were missing in 04. a sharp outside shooter in michael redd. a versatile defender in tayshaun prince. point guard experience in jason kidd. young point guard talents in deron williams and chris paul. the best center in basketball dwight howard. powerful big men in chris bosh and carlos boozer. good scorers in lebron, kobe, carmelo, and wade. AND DON'T FORGET.  team usa didn't have kobe in 04. when you have the best player in the game today, you won't fail the same way you did four years ago.

Yes, I really think that they will.  It will be challenging, because some countries are very competitive right now, and I know that Team USA has had some setbacks in world competition recently. But in the end I believe that USA will come out on top in these Olympics.

the key is getting ben wallace and carlos boozer to be recognized as the big strong men they are, and to keep dwight howard healthy.  If so, the young point guards will be scoring every which way, and the middle sized men will be dunking (ex, kobe checking the canadian and stealing the ball, following with a dunk)
