Technology is getting so advanced... its it possible that at one point we won't be able to control it and that it will turn on us???

Seriously, though, with all those scary robots-taking-over-the-world movies, there's no way any sane scientists are going to forget to take precautions against such things. They may keep making technology smarter and smarter, but ethics committees, common sense, and the might of large angry mobs would probably stop them from making anything too smart, as in smart enough to rebel against us or hurt us in any way. They create machinery, not souls or personalities or emotions.
