  1. yes, they should be with the dramatic change in scenery (new coach, GM [or whatever Donnie Walsh does)

  2. psh no! thats an easy one. they cant possible get worse but no way are they a playoff contender

  3. yes they dont

  4. yeah

  5. No, they will fall in shame once again down in the cellar.

  6. No and theres no way there getting LeBron in a couple years   the Cavs are gonna sign him.     They should trade maurbary to the Cavs.   GO CAVS

  7. yes finally somebody asked a question bout the knicks....

    yes they will be..

here are the  players that will fit under dantoni:

    Danilo Gallinari

    Jamal Crawford

    Nate Robinson

    DAvid LEe

    quentin richardson

    Wilson chandler

maybe jared jeffries or Renaldo Balkman or Stephon Marbury

here are the players that will not fit under dantoni

    Eddy Curry

    Zach Randolph

    Mardy Collins

    Jerome James

  8. Yes, with the new style that Coach D'Antoni will implement to the knicks. It will be a new Knicks that other teams will face. With their impressive rooki Danilo Gallinari, and some young guys from last year draft like Wilson Chandler. Now they get rid of the Thomas era. Next season they will not be booed by the fans.

  9. I think they will be more competitive because they got a new coach they got Duhon and I think they will step it up and win a lot more games then they did this last season.

  10. they need kirk hinrich. and lose that bum of stephon marbury who now will only make minimum salary!

  11. yea.i think

  12. Well yeah. They have nowhere to go but up...

Will they make the playoffs? I hardly doubt it...

I don't understand why D'antoni wants to make them a  running team when they have big men like Curry and Randolph who do better in a half court set...

  13. nope there the knicks

  14. no are you serious?

  15. More competitive and will have a good season and would probably make the playoffs next year.

  16. nope... im gonna say what stephen A said, get rid of the whole team including staff and get some talent in there. heard they might get lebron james theres a start. but to answer your question im going with NO, unless they get Lebron James this team is going nowhere but last place in the division.

  17. look some people just dont get it they have a very deep and talented roster first off marbury is still a top ten point guard  second zach randolph averaged what 20 points and 10 rebounds yeah thats real hard to come by eddy curry cant be that bad he was almost an allstar the year before i lve in NY and have access to watching all the knick games and you could tell they were just a poorly coached team thomas made some real bad decisions and got some good coaches fired for that signing jerome james and jared jefferies were very poor moves they are heading in the right direction and believe that d antoni will make the knicks relevant again but as for this year i would like for them to tank the season and grab the first pick in the draft next year if they want to get any of those freeagents that are mentioned in 2010 they are going to need a supporting cast to lure them i mean who dont want to come play in new york at the garden oh and wilson chandler is the truth

  18. knicks and bobcats/jordan  will compete for 2nd to the last place in the east.

  19. Do you realize you're the only one on YA who asks Knicks related questions?

  20. under the softie mike d'antoni who just wasted their draft pick on a dude that recently got injured.....nah......

  21. they couldnt get any worse than last year so yea they will for sure

  22. They were so bad last year they almost have to be better. Getting rid of Isaiah Thomas and Marbury is addition by subtraction. Donnie Walsh is a good basketball mind. It may take some time, but he'll eventually get rid of the riff raff and garbage in the organization and make the Knicks a winner.

  23. it'll take a while for the Knicks to adjust to  D'Antoni's to offense. But they should be good here in a couple of years.

  24. yeah, but the East getting tougher, it's hard to see them make the playoff.

Knicks actually have loads of talented players, but it's their lack of unity and chemistry that caused them to be the laughing stock of the NBA.

Now I believe D'antoni is a great coach, and will bring more competitiveness to the Knicks, but most of their hope rests on the 2010 free agency of Wade-Melo-Bosh-LeBron

  25. Yes. I wouldn't even be surprised if they made the playoffs.

  26. Dump Steph 1st.

  27. yeh

without marbury wreckin there team chemistry and wif d'antoni as a coach they should be alot more competitive. they have some very good players on there roster

  28. yes, but i dont know if they will make the playoffs.

  29. yes but they still need to fix the roster to  fit d'antoni's play style. i only see q-rich as the only one who can play under d'antoni. randolph is a joke. so is curry. nate robinson can probably fit in, but that's all there is to it

  30. Hopefully? With a head honcho in new GM Donnie Walsh, I think they are going in a new direction. Its starts at the top so when Isaiah decided to make the team 'ghetto-style' the rest of them feel like it. Now, under new management, there's no way but be better than the previous one. Hiring Coach D will surely change the atmosphere in NY. Heck, did Isaiah ever coached them? I hope they make the playoffs. I want to see them in the post-season. Under Isaiah's titulage, they were bad but heck they're interesting and fun to watch team. What more if they are competing in a winning fashion? I can't wait to see them next season!
