Oh gosh I hope not, it would be terrible. ... But then again Horrible movies usually have better sequels. White Noise 2 was great but the first was terrible

The last I heard was yeah,

it was rumoured to be either Michael Myers, or Ash from the Evil Dead series....... personally hoping for Ash

well i dont know all that the last guy said

but i know late last year New Line Cinema in a article said that any plans for a sequel were fake.

and at the same time they said there would be no more Nightmare movies

but one's in the works so who knows  about FVJ

There was rumors about it but never know. Right now if there is plans to do, i say its probably on hold since they are working on remakes of Nightmare on Elm St and Friday the 13th to reboot the movies series, source scifi.com.

Several ideas for a sequel to the film have been proposed. Many of these involve additional characters from other horror franchises. It was once rumoured Monica Keena would reprise her role of Lori if a sequel was made.[citation needed]

The use of Bruce Campbell's Ash Williams character from the Evil Dead franchise had been considered, but this idea was halted when Evil Dead creator and director, Sam Raimi, decided against it.[citation needed] But in the special features of the Evil Dead: Regeneration game, however, Bruce Campbell himself says that the rumors are "partially true" and he would be willing to do the movie should it come about.

A sequel to the story appears as a comic book limited series, Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, from Dynamite Entertainment. [2] According to an interview with Englund from March 2006,[3] New Line Cinema had participated in talks with John Carpenter concerning the use of Michael Myers in a sequel.

In November, 2007, Moviehole reported that a sequel is still very much in the works, with New Line Cinema wanting to move forward with a sequel. It also stated that there is still no script, and, because of the WGA strike, the film "won't be coming anytime soon".

So looks like there will not be a Freddy vs Jason vs Ash (evil dead)  according to Sam Rami. They are also working on a remake of Evil Dead as well but Bruce will not be playing Ash source: scifi.com.
