  1. I don't know and quite frankly i think that the color of someones skin should not be something the academy looks at when choosing a director instead of his ability.

  2. I sure hope so, even though I really hope that it's not just for the sake of his or her skin color. I think it's a real shame that the progress of both race equality and women's rights and equality has been so incredibly sluggish over the past 50 or so years. If anything would ever happened to even HINT that white, Anglosaxen MEN might be handled unfairly or with prejudice, all holy h**l would have broken out by now.

In my book, talent is talent ...regardless of skin color.

  3.    We should hope so. Many African American Actors/Celebs have directed, etc.

Part of the issue is the Academy itself, and how it functions. Similar to our Political structure, those who "Win" are "voted", and apparently the "Swing" isn't there yet for African Americans.

  4. With the liberal media showing us just how racist they are in Barrack's campaign, and that same media influencing the pop culture of Hollywood, I think it will be a long time before Black-Americans get the respect they deserve in Hollywood.
