Will Todd Helton retire?

He seems to be at the end of the road, however, and if I were Todd Helton, yes, I would retire at the end of this season.

I think he will retire next year. If they make it to the playoffs this year magically he probably will. He is a future hall of famer.

Helton is under contract through 2011 ($16.6M for 2009-10, $19.1M in 2011), so he'll likely stick around to collect on that.

The Rockies hold an option on him for 2012 at $23M or a buyout of $4.6M, and the buyout seems highly likely.

Retire, or collect another $56.9 million? It's a tough choice.
