Will Trent Green battle Marc Bulger for the 1st string spot on the Rams?

Marc Bulger looked really bad in the preseason game against Tennesee. I think Green still had competable skills, alot of people think hes done, but I think hes still got alot to offer. With Bulgers injury pron track record, and Scott Linehans must win mode (or hes likely be fired) and Trent Greens connections to Al Saunders, will Trent Green win the starting role in St. Louis?

  1. Mark Bulger is well on the downward side of his career. Too Bad, because Trent Green is far to fragile to take the job away from him. No Play Offs again for the Rams.

  2. Im a Chiefs fan and i love Trent Green, but for his own sake i hope he rides the bench, holds a clip board and helps develop a young QB.

  3. Short answer is maybe.  The rams dumped green in first place remember. But that was because they had Kurt Warner. Now Green would be a starting QB if he was in Chicago but he isnt. And I wouldnt consider Bulger injury prone.  Last season the O line was c**p mainly to injury themselves and this is why bulger got his faced mashed into the turf more than need be. With saunders in there now and if Steven Jackson ever reports they will again have an offensive beast of a team. In my honest opinion though they should never have let Warner go he has one of the top completion percentages of all time for a career.  And we all seen last season that he still has what it takes.  The second half of the season he was keepin pace with Tom Brady TD for TD and yard for yard.

  4. No, absolutely not. You can't judge him on one preseason game. He has to regain his trust in his offensive line, He was rushing throws when he didnt have to. Thats what preseason is for, gaining that rapport with his line in non pressure situations. Bulger is still a very accurate quarterback, and as soon as he remembers that and gets his confidence back, and they establish a running game, their will be nothing to worry about.

  5. Marc Bulger is not near as good as he used to be, but I think he will win the starting job, due to his reputation in St. Louis.

That being said, he's very injury prone, so that will allow Green to prove himself and in that time he will probably wrest the spot from Bulger, I think.
