yes i got some movies that may beat twilight! i see why harry potter was like we need to wait until next year. i mean i know they said they would make more money with the summer and all, but i think they knew about all these movies they were up against.

QUANTUM OF SOLACE

Nov. 7

Daniel Craig, Gemma Arterton, Judi Dench

AUSTRALIA

Nov. 14

Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman

THE SOLOIST

Nov. 21

Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr. (with these two alone who cares what the movie is about!)

FOUR CHRISTMASES

Nov. 26

Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn (he is two funny twilight watch out)

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (hello kids are going to want to see this movie)

7 November 2008

Bolt

21 November 2008

(sad to say but i never thought i would be happy that miley cyrus was in a movie! all of these little kids are going to want to see this movie just because of that, plus even i think this movie is going to be good. hey its like even if Disney **** on a movie it will be a 1# hit! twilight you should have did what harry potter did, ran away!)

so as you can see i am so happy! twilight does not stand a chance!

but just to be sure i did the math.

lets say all of her 2 million fans wait to the movie the movie would make 20 million if they all spend 10 dollars! so twilight will fail big time because i know alot of people who haven't even heard of the book and the movie isn't even showing previews yet! and most perants are going to be like one movie that's all, because hey Christmas is coming soon right and if they let thier kids go to two moives the kids are going to say they want to go to Bolt and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. and what perant is going to want to go to twilight with movies like 077 and a jamie foxx movie out, come on!

the reason i say she has maybe 2 million fans is because of the books sells, the same person is buying one book each in the series.

yeah i have read the books, don't like them. really since breaking dawn came out, she broke my mom heart.

she was a twimom, but now she is so mad that she is no longer going to see the movie.

  1. I think Twilight WILL beat all other movies there.

Stephenie Meyer has wayyyy more then 2 million fans.

and in case YOU have'nt noticed there are no previews out for ANY of those movies yet except 1 or 2.

And another reason the preview for Twilight is not out yet is that now they need to change the opening date on EVERYthing that has December 12, 2008 to November 21, 2008. that is a lot of stuff to change, like previews, calanders and tons of other stuff.

  2. yes twilight is giong to be # 1

  3. ohh i wanna see australia

thanks for putting that up there!

  4. Twilight's pretty huge but so is Harry Potter its hard to tell who will win.

  5. i think twilight will win but i only say this because i love that im reading new moon right now! doesnt seem as good as the 1st but i'll give it a chance.

  6. I think it willl be a hit.  Very few people actually read the Lord of the Rings, but the number of people who went to see the movie was incredible.  It even sparked a surge in book sales.

Provided teh movie remains true to the story, people will like it.

  7. i dont kno i think madagascar 2 will beat twilight...lol   jk

  8. It'll kick a$$. Your calculations are missing one thing. Multiplication. When you factor in all of those twihard's friends who are too lazy to read the books/boyfriends/girlfriends/significant others, you have a lot of people going to see Twilight.

And everyone I know sees movies all the time. I'm sure if a parent thought about it, wouldn't you think you would rather have your kid see a movie based on a series of books that they've spent time reading over one where animals talk in a magical colorful word of happily-ever-after.

I'm positive that even if the fans don't like the movie, it will be a box-office success. I mean, it's Twilight.

The way I see it. Madagascar = lame for anyone under the age of 10. Bolt - I know Miley has a HUGE fanbase, but very few of those fans are also in Stephenie Meyer's corner. We're a little more deep than that. Quantum of Solace - I'm sure that'll be a hit, but it's got two weeks to fizzle out before Twilight even hits the theatres. Australia & The Soloist - probably more popular amongst adults, but then again, I've never even heard of these. Twilight has been promoted everywhere where I live. Everyone knows the exact day it's coming out. The only real competition I see hear is from the Reese/Vince factor.

I guess we'll just have to see. Also, I'm sorry your mom didn't like Breaking Dawn. I guess it's a love/hate thing. Most people I know absolutely loved it. Can't wait for midnight Sun.
