Will US electrical products work fine in India with convertors?

Question

I got my cousin Nintendo DS, which operates with a electrical charger...I also bought a universal convertor that is compatible with indian electricity

but my dad says indian electricity is notoriously bad, and buying this product could be a bad idea if i'm relying on a convertor to play this as it may fry the system

what yall think?

Your Farther is correct sooner or later the equipment will be damaged...

You need a transformer 110v setting... with surge protection

Check you Nintendo adaptor voltage rating. If it says 100~240V, you can use it perfectly in India. If it says 110V, buy a similar adaptor with 100~240V input.
