Don't be stupid. USA doesn't have the man power or capacity to take on Russia at this time. AND why should they. It's nothing to do with the United States.

No, but that does not stop us from giving weapons to Georgia.  In Afghanistan, we supplied weapons to muslim insurgents which inflicted devestating losses upon the soviet army which hastened the collapse of the soviet Union.  

Russia is not equipped to fight a war against the United States.  Their standing army is less than 350,000 troops.  They rely on conscripts to maintain a field force, and the bulk of their armed forces center around soviet era Tanks. (30-40 thousand).  Russia is capable of cleaning the clock out of Georgia with armored warfare, but in a fight against the United States would result in the destruction of their armies on all fronts.  During the gulf war, iraq was equipped with the best weapons Russia could make and this resulted in a crushing defeat through air power.  Our airforce is more than capable of defeating Russia and containing them.  Nuclear weapons is the main reason why Russia still demands respect.

Thats all we need is to send more of our troops out to fight a pointless battle. Im thinking of moving to a neutral country that has no issues so i dont have to deal with this crud.

We've been through a Cold War of constant fear since the 1960's.

What you are really asking is ''Will all life disappear from the Earth due to nuclear war?''.

That was the expectation during the Cold War, with both sides having enough nuclear weapons to destroy all life on Earth 7 times over.

Don't pray for that sort of excitement.

Hopefully Pres. Bush has a brain cell that can function as a normal one.
