Will Venus Williams win another grandslam, besides Wimbledon?

Is she threat anywhere else in your mind? She has proved that she can win the US Open and kst year she did very well, if she didnt play Justine is the semi's she would have won. What do you guys think?

There is obviously a good chance because she is one of the premier women in tennis today but I don't see her winning the French, and the 2 hard courts are also tough because I think Serena is better fitted for that surface. Not to mention the 2 Serbian ladies who will want to reclaim some glory. Plus Maria Sharapova is definitely hungry for a Grand Slam. I think she has a better chance at a repeat Wimbledon than winning another Grand Slam.

Venus Williams just pulled out of the LA tournament next week because of a knee injury.

So injuries are always a issue in Venus Williams' career so you never know if she is gonna be injury free during the US Open. If she is then she is a definite threat at the Open and very much capable of winning the whole thing.

I think she has a great chance of winning another slam or 2 or even 3, as well as Serena. However as usual, if she stays injury free is always a threat, despite that forehand and her ton of errors. I see her contedning for US Open and Wimbledon for at least 5 more years.

US Open 2008  ?  Serena, Ivanovic, Jankovic ( if no injury ), Radswanka, Sharapova are much more powerful hard court contenders than Venus is. Hope Sharapova is in Serena's section. And Sharapova will just melt away. I don't know why Sharapova becomes so small in front of Serena. Venus I think will bring a gold medal at  the Beijing's singles.

she is going to win the U.S. Open

I think she is playing really well. She came back from behind to win Wimbledon in the finals. The first 3 games I couls swear Serena was going to win but all the sudden Venus took control of the situation and just rocketed through the match.

Yes I think she will win the U.S. Open this year. She has a ton of confidence after defending her Wimbledon title, her serving is clicking and well suited for the courts at the U.S Open and she won it twice after winning Wimbledon, so she should be the favorite. I think she could  win at least one Australian before she ends tennis, however I don't really see her winning the French although it is possible with the absence of Henin.

I see her winning a Grand Slam besides Wimbledon in the next three years sometime-it might be this year.Just be patient-she'll do it.It will be a US Open.She's not gonna win at the Roland Garis(The French Open),because she's just not good enough on clay.Remember ,she made it to the semifinals of the US Open last year and would've won it if it wasn't for Justine Henin(who was playing awesome in 2007).

Don't forget Serena made it far in this Grand Slam tournament too last year;she was also eliminated by Justine.Now that Justine Henin's gone,i give the Williams sisters the best shot to take this years US Open title even if they're playing at 70%.

Venus usually comes into the Us Open playing great after Wimbledon wins.This is the Slam she'll have the best chance at winning;the US Open is the only other Grand Slam title she holds,and she's  won there twice,so she's definitely a threat and very capable of winning another.

Remember that they'll also have the home field advantage with the American fans cheering them on.We are dying for another American to capture this title.I think she or Serena will win this slam.Serena is definitely hungry after losing to Venus,so you can expect to see her at her best .

Now with Justine out,i see them having a great chance .My bets on Serena though,but Venus will win one more Slam somewhere other than Wimbledon before she retires-trust me!
