I hope so man , i a huge fan if he played in a system like the ones in SanDiego, Kansas City, or cleveland where he's used more verticaly he'll be a beast not many LB's can cover him with his speed and he's too big for corners.

nope, but he'll win a few body building competitions. goes to show you that the best athletes aren't always the best football players. vernon davis is a way better athlete than chris cooley. who would you rather have on your team. i'd take chris cooley any day even though davis would smoke him in a race in a straight line.

I doubt it.  

The more I see Davis play, the more I get the feeling that Davis was one of those guys who impresses/shocks everyone with a superhuman performance at the scouting combine but who isn't really that great at the game of football when he actually has to get out onto the field and play.

If all it took to play football was to run 40 yard dashes, do standing vertical leaps, and to bench press 225 pounds multiple times Vernon Davis would probably be the best tight-end in NFL history.....too bad for guys like Davis that it often takes a different skill and mind set to be a good football player than it does to be a scouting combine stud....

I think he is good enough but Mike Martz's offense doesn't use the tight end that much.

Hope so. He has so much unused talent. Plus the 49ers need to get back to being good. Cowboys fan here. Just miss the old rivalries. Good luck this year.
