Question:

Will WalMart allow me to return an opened TV for a refund?

I don't have a very good reason for the return. My wife and I separated and so I needed a TV. Now we are back together and we don't need the extra TV. It's only been about 21 days since I bought the TV. I do have the original packaging and it's not damaged. I'm planning to take it back tonight.

  1. keep it in the closet as a spare for whenever you separate from your wife again

  2. Yes

  3. Of course.  I saw a woman return diapers from Kmart with a kmart logo printed on the bag.  Walmart had no problem taking them back.  You can return a stick and say your tree died and get a new tree for free.

  4. noo... i think you can sell the copper in it though

  5. Did you open the TV? Or the Box it came in.

If you took it apart......probably not so much then.

  6. Yes, it will make it easier if you have the receipt.

  7. Yes! I hear they will let you return anything.. Even if you didnt' orgiginally buy it there..

  8. You should be able to, particularly if you still have the receipt.  But I think they will even take back things without a receipt as long as you don't do it very many times in a year.

  9. yes, they will.  As long as you have the original receipt and packaging and not damaged will be fine.  However, the time frame for refund may vary from stores.

  10. Yes, they take back almost anything, especially if you have the receipt or charged it on a credit card.

  11. yes, walmart are very good with their returns

  12. Yeah, Of couse, You have to try it and tell them what was wrong with it...But it has to be a technical problem......

  13. yes - but you have a limited amount of time on an electronic purchase.  It could be 14 days. Hurry maybe its 30 days.  If they ask, tell them the picture is fuzzy or something.  They almost never ask.

  14. Are you running a scam?  Are you one of those guys that sells tv's out of the back of a truck parked under a tree on the side of a road?

  15. Yes they will take it back.. as long as you still have the receipt with you.. Good day

  16. Yes they will

  17. According to walmartstores.com, you can return a tv, opened or unopened, anytime.  If you have your receipt, they will give you your refund they way you paid for it.  If you do not have your receipt, they will give you your refund on a gift card.

  18. if you have a reciept, it should be no problem

  19. Yes, no problem. They won't ask you any questions, and even if they did, just say you didn't like it. Most of the time, you don't even have to have a receipt...!! I kinda think it's bad. Torn boxes, broken package, no problem.

The only thing they don't give you refund if you don't have a receipt is iPod even it's in sealed box. They said it's a contract between apple or something.

  20. absolutly!

  21. Yes, they should take it back. usually they sell open box items at a discount.

  22. If you have the receipt, it should not be a problem.  Just include all the original materials that came with it and its packing so they can resell it.  Their policy lists electronics, but does not specify tv's (see site below).

They have a posting on their return policy:

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.g...

I would have this in hand and if customer service gives you a hard time, have them call the manager.

  23. if you have the bill thing and the person is nice

  24. they should allow you to take it back. good luck.

  25. walmart let me return a vaccuum that was 4 years old without a receipt (course they didnt know it was that old lol) so id say yes. suckers will let you return ANYTHING lol.

  26. Yea. I bought a CD at Wal-Mart and stuck it in the CD player like the dumbass that I am and another CD was already in it. Needless to say, the CD got scratched and we returned it and got a full refund. Doesn't matter. Wal-Mart will accept any piece of junk, even half eaten food.
