  1. no, cuz IMO there is always a limit to everything. even to science and technology. if we want to travel to, i.e. the closest star, it would take us millions year to get there (let alone return-to-earth journey). Maybe we can colonize the moon in the near future (maybe those taikonauts will be the first), but if you mean colonizing space outside our solar system, NEVER! Just BEAT IT!

  2. One could argue that we already have, but that it is a colony that lacks the natural resources upon which humans rely.  The ISS is, afterall, in space.

True colonization beyond Earth orbit, though, I think is several decades away.  Technologies must be developed to provide food, protect from radiation and umpteen other things.  It will be a long time coming, but when it does we will have learned so much that could help us repair the damage we've done to our planet.

If the human race is to survive in the astronomical long term, we must colonize space.  As we presumably have some time, we can afford to do it carefully.

  3. Hehe..an example could be the Terrans of Starcraft. See, they colonized many worlds and killed lots of Zerg.

If you're asking when, it could be in the future where we can already manipulate space and time.

  4. We have already colonized space. What do you think is all around us ? Space. Colonize planets is also already done ...Earth..duh

  5. Soon or later resources like fuel, will end on earth. Population will be very high and we will not be able to give food for all.

Also death rates will come down due to medical advances. So we have to find a place to live. That is space.International space station has already proved that we cal live in space for long time. So we will have to build space colonies and by using sun light, we will meet energy needs.

When it will take place,is the big question

  6. Life on Earth will eventually colonize a life form in space somewhere sometime whether as a micorbe after humans have become extinct.  We are colonizing space as we speak.  We have sent our viruses and germs into space since the Voyager and Pioneer missions in the last millenium.  They will be our first emmisaries.

  7. Space - maybe, within the next few decades. Other planets/bodies in the Solar system - less likely, and not for at least a century IMO. Other solar systems - probably never.

  8. Earth orbit, the Moon and Mars, perhaps, but, beyond that, probably not, for at least a couple of thousand years, when we might develop the capability to venture beyond our solar system, to colonize other Earth-like worlds in nearby star systems.

  9. You mean all of space? Possibly. When? We don't know..but I can assure you, not in our lifetime.

  10. I'm sure eventually, yes. The technology is getting close. When? Well I'm not a psychic (and neither is anyone else) so the answer to that question does not exist.
