Now Charliee, this question is not to annoy you..........LOL
Was a very good piece in today's paper about the West Coast V Melbourne game.
The writer was saying that this is the "who cares" game of the round ( if not the season) but that those in the know will be watching closely for another reason- to see how West Coast will handle this game
West coast are currently on 4 wins and qualify for the priority draft pick
and face Gelong and Hawks in final two rounds, so its highly unlikely they will bother the wins column again this season
To keep the priority draft pick, a team needs to finish will 4 wins or less
So if West Coast wins against Melbourne they will lose the priority pick.
This is a game which really means nothing, (as the wooden spoon is pretty much all ready decided) -
So how do West coast go about losing, err I mean playing this game?
Why would they bother trying too win, in a dead rubber, when it will hurt the clubs draft picks for next season?
- especially when there are a number of good young players coming out of WA next season.
Your thoughts?
