Question:

Will Wolfram Mathmatica software help me with calculus?

$139 is quite expensive, and would like to have opinion on that software.

I need an application that CAN show steps in calculations, be it algebraic, derivative, integration, etc... I should be able to show the intermediate steps, and give a proper answer.

I understand that TI-89 graph calculator can show intermediate steps... I have Hewlette Packard HP50g, and it is hopelessly incompetent, but it was the best I could find in my country. Now I save for TI-89, and import it...

Do you know any other calculus software?

  1. TI-89 is helpful in many ways! integrals.wolfram.com is also helpful;

    Yet both fail badly sometimes! As for me I do without them actually because they do not add to understanding difficult problems; I use MS Excel to perform calculations, although there’s a couple of minute flaws in Excel, too;
