  1. No I don't think so.

I believe the catalyst for world war three will be in the mid east. Not on the European continent this time.

I believe something terrible will happen in Israel and the neighbouring nations to start the third world war. But not in Russia's conflict with Georgia.

  2. its wont go for world war if Russia and Georgia fights... Coze due to this other countries are not willing to take any action... coze both of them U.S.S.R Countries...

The World War will start if US & Russia Fights... so dont worry abt Russia or Georgia...

  3. I don't think so. I believe Russia can be made weak again just as before when Ronald Reagan was President.

If we get Obama in the White House come November.....maybe.

Democracy is on the rise. And I have to believe that there are more people who will die for freedom than there are people who will kill for tyranny.

The Taliban defeated Russia at it's strongest years ago. Surely the might of the free world....with a little help from the mighty Country of China can fend off Russian agression. Who stands with Russia?? Hugo Chavez??

I will tell you this, we would have much better standing in this whole conflict if we weren't so dependent on the oil that we receive from the friends of our enemies. We are a joke to Russia now. Our own leaders preventing us from obtaining the biggest National Security weapon we have....our own energy source. Our own oil. Giving billions to countries that hate us to fund their wars against us and our allies. We are being brought down from within and we are just sitting back and taking it. And Russia just laughs at us. Hopefully China either stays out of this or comes down on the side of right.

Information is too free flowing these days to hold back the masses.

  4. If Russia tries to take over the Georgian government and other the governments of other former SSR countries.

  5. Both World Wars had some of the same similarities.

    We'll see.

  6. why do other replys assume it stops with georgia?

it's not out of the question

to my recollection, this is about the only situation where the USA has been at odds with russia since 1979 when russia invaded afganistan

    prior to that, cuba 1962

both russia and usa are still armed to the teeth with thousands of nukes

robert mcnamara, jfk's sec of defense in 1962, felt that nuclear war was a coin toss away

considering the unbeleivable damage that could come from it, it's kind of amazing that nuclear policy never comes up in debates

but then i guess we'd be asking them to discuss real issues

  7. It's frightening, isn't it?  Both sides have nuclear weapons, and it's easy to see how things could get out of control.

But Russia can only go so far before the pressure from Europe and the US to back off becomes irresistible.  They will withdraw their troops, a truce will be declared, and some form of autonomy will be endorsed for South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

And Russia will have accomplished its real goals.  Showing their domestic audience that Russia is still strong, and demonstrating to the other former Soviet republics that there is great risk in becoming too friendly with the west.

  8. No, because the US is not going to war with Russia over a province in Georgia.  We're too busy with Iraq and Afghanistan.

  9. No
