Will You Please Help Me Find A Monologue? ?

okay, so i want to perform a monologue- 5 minutes max. and i would either like one from confessions of a teenage drama queen with lindsay lohan or one where i can get angry.

or, even better, both.

please help me!

If your goal is to get roles in theatre, do not do monologues from movies (that were not plays FIRST).  It's not appropriate, and you will be doing someone else's (i.e. Lindsay Lohan's) performance, which will be noted in the mind of director.

Make sure the one you select is age-appropriate for you and applicable to what you're auditioning for.  

NEVER do a monologue from the play unless it is specifically requested.

And start reading plays.  Start with the classics and modern classics everyone should know (Chekhov, Stoppard, Albee, Shaw, Moliere, Neil Simon, Durang, Odets, Mamet, etc.), read some Aristophanes and Shakespeare, and experimental.  Best prep in the world.

Read all the plays you can get your hands on.  They are full of monologues. Learn how to change dialog into a monologue.
