Will a 02 CR 250 engine fit in a 01 CR 250 frame?

i blew my motor in my 01 CR 250 and i cant seem to find a cheap 01 motor on ebay but i found a well priced 02 CR 250 engine and with how much the motor and frame changed in the year 2002 i wasn't sure if it would fit so im hoping that you guys could help me out. THANKS!

If you dont have the engine already, then it makes no difference.

If you have found cheap 02 on ebay, then buy it.

As for us finding you a link for cheap motor ................ NO.

You want the engine, you look for it.

Yeah, the frames are the exact same size.

Well I did the same thing on my '99 KX 125. I blew the bottom end on the motor and I had a race coming up. My dad and I had a spare '00 bottom end. We were able to swap it because they were the same model. If you know they are the same model (maybe Honda doesn't classify with model numbers) then they will probally fit. I have asked your question in the Thumpertalk forum (Link#1), but no one answered yet. You can check there every so often to see if someone answers.
