Will a 1 1/8 Fork work on a bike that used to have a 1" threaded fork?

this will work i was going to try this with my 2004 norco titan, i took it to my local bike shop and got him to look at it and it will fit if you buy a whole new front end.

nope...you need a 1" threadless fork and a 1" threadless headset.

No.  Sorry, but that won't work.

Edit: Hum...  I am pretty certain you can't coerce a 1 and 1/8 threadless headset into a bike built for a 1 inch threaded headset.  If you can get the headset installed, it might work...  However, this isn't something you want to force in.
