  1. yes it will

  2. HVAC Tech.: The voltage will cover you up to 13,500BTU which will pull about6.5 amps you only need to be careful what else you plug in to the circuit. you might want to go over your lease before you install the unit and make sure it is alright with your landlord.

  3. Yes it will work, however you need to keep in mind that window unit needs to be pluged into a line with no other appliances on it. You would not want it to be connected near the washer, ice box,or a freezer.

  4. Yes, no problem.  Most appliances in the US are rated at 115 volts.  If you put an electrical voltage tester on any of your receptacles in your home you would find they vary between 100 volts and 125 volts depending on your power company and the time of day.  That's because other people using electricity at the same time causes a voltage drop on the whole system.

Appliances are rated with a "plus or minus 15%" variance.  That means your air conditioner will run fine with anywhere from 97 volts to 135 volts.

Plug it in and cool off.

  5. well voltage aside you need to know the amperage rating of the unit to verify the circut you are using will hold this unit this rating can be directly given in amps or as wattage most residential circuits are rated for 15 amps max and a circuit may well cover all the receptacles in your room you are installing the unit and other rooms as well  also of the ampres is given in wattage take the watts and divide by voltage this will give you your amperage rating 15 or less should be a safe amount any more then 15 consult an electrician

  6. Yes 115 and 110 are just another way of saying 120 volt ckt and in all cases they are the same.  Most electric utilities regulate their power sources to 118 volts plus or minus 10 percent so power could be anywhere between 112 and 124 volts and about all it really affects are regular incandescent light bulbs

  7. Check with your building engineer. You're on the border here.  If it's an old building, and 110 service is old, you may end up blowing fuses when  you turn on your iron or hair dryer. That used to happen in my first apartment.

  8. Yes it will..in all actuality any rating from 110 to 120 is basically the same thing......
