  1. I dont think you should add them like that. Each of these grades are considered individually, especially the percentile ranks. To be honest, these SAT 2's do not look very nice. I am guessing the percentile was somewhat below 50 (average)? If so, then these universities might not accept you on that basis.

However, the schools do not use these grades only in their decision. If you have a good GPA, SAT Reasoning, decent Extra-curriculars, and such- then there is no doubt that they will accept you. However, the added edge that you could have gotten from the SAT 2's is gone.

Also, the schools will consider only the highest score, and will usually look only at one test in the category (i.e. mathematics), so you only have two scores to submit really. Retake, if you have time, or if possible in another subject area (history is easy if you've had it before, and foreign languages if you did about 3 years). G'luck.

  2. whats good for you?

i think you could get into the 50 schools

bu i would retake and consider teh acts

    and reatke the lit

what do u want to major in?

if not lit who the **** cares! lol

i mean if its not english related

  3. hey babe,

recently colleges have been looking more into overall commitment in students to do well throughout the year, and not focus on individual tests.

Although taking tests like this are important, colleges are looking for well rounded students, who focus most.

  4. UCLA probably not, UH probably yes.  Please do take the SAT again. You can take the SAT up to 3 times before you apply. And college like to see you improve! Do your best. Take more SAT before you apply to college!!! Some colleges take the highest writing, reading, and math scores you get out of all the SAT tests you take and add them up to your advantage so that's always good for you!

Do not let a score prevent you from applying to your dream colleges!

Volunteer activities, leadership, overall GPA, your ESSAY, and interview (if you have one with a college rep) all add up to influence the college decision. This is not to say that a perfect SAT school will get you everywhere. That is so not true! A couple of my friends got perfect SAT and ACT scores and ended up getting rejected from some good universities that were not even ivies!

    - Do tons of practice problems and practice practice practice on those ESSAYS! they count for 180 pts of the overall score! Writing was the easiest part of the SAT for me because all you have to do is to learn to spot those grammar errors!

    - Maybe consider taking one of those SAT prep classes? Some have some really great tips to bring up your scores.

    - Maybe consider taking the ACT. I had a friend who didn't do so well on the SAT and ended up doing really great on the ACT and colleges like that!

    Good Luck!

  5. SAT scores aren't everything when colleges look at applicants. They also look at your extra curricular activities. It's also luck, you may get a reviewer that had a bad day, and wants to vent their anger and just rejects every application that they see that day. Also most ivy league colleges don't take more than a couple (less than 5) students from a particular high school every couple of years. I know Princeton (my friend goes there, it will be her second year)  took 3 students from my graduating year, meaning they probably wont take anyone the following year. Good SAT scores are great for colleges, but they're not everything. Especially now where a lot more people are having the opportunities to go to college. I don't want to seem like a downer, but getting into a good college, or grad school is very difficult these days, just make sure you write a d**n good essay to showcase everything you offer.
