Will a 16-bit PC card work in a 32-bit PC Card slot?

and want to connect a Type II 16-bit PC Card for WiFi (.pdf page)

  3. yes it wil work as long as  the  laptop is cardbus compliant which it most likley is  16 bit cards wil work in a  32bit conenctor

    a  32 bit  card wont work in a 16 bit connector though
