No. Cordless phones have special assigned codes that only their handsets can be linked to their bases. Even other handsets couldn't be linked if a first handset(if single handset, some cordless phones can support up to 4 or more handsets) has been assigned to it.

However a DECT phone(which is a GAP compatible), you can link their handsets to other bases(even different brands) with special registration procedure.
