Will a 20 ga kill a deer

I hunt in new york and i am thinking of getting a rifled barrel for my 20ga. will this kill a deer. all my hunting is done under 100 yards. most of the time under 50. i would like to save my 12 ga for ducks.

Yes, a 20 gauge will do the job at the yardage you're talking about. I am actually found the 20gauge slugs to be much more accurate than a 12 gauge.
