  1. it will tow it just fine, provided you have the appropiate hitch, in this case a class 3 ( or better ) is needed. a class 3 is rated for 5,000 lbs, factoring in weight of the car, plus trailer weight, youll have a about 500 lbs to spare.and thats if your using a flat bed trailer to tow the new yorker. the weight on the hitch would be less if you use a tow dolly, and have just the drive wheels off the ground, because the car will be supporting a good portion of its own weight.

  2. Not a good idea as the Yorker weights more than the Dokota>It will push it on turns>

  3. It'll have to work, but it could do it. According to kbb.com, a 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9L V6 can tow 6700 pounds max. Assuming the trailer (if you are using one) doesn't weigh more than 3000 pounds, you can do it.

    There goes your gas mileage.

  4. it will tow it ,but not good, thats almost more than the truck weighs, and its going to be really hard on a transmission,i woudnt chance doing this on that truck, you could do more damage to your truck than it would cost you for a wrecker to pull that car, good luck.

  5. it will do it but not very well, if your trailer is heavy the total weight would be more than the truck and the load could push you around in wind or bad road surfaces, if you are using a full trailer the electric brake set up is a must.
