I am trying to find a 6 bolt 17inch steel rim that will fit this vehicle

  1. There are 4 measurements that to be checked. The first is the "bolt pattern". You can look those up at this site;

    You also will need to check the hole in the center.  This is often not a factor on Aluminum rims, but often is if they are steel. If the hole is bigger than you need is OK, but too small won't fit.

    Besides the diameter, you should also consider the width. One that's wider especially, could rub something. Of course, if you are changing the diameter, that is something that could cause various problems too.

    And finally, wheel "offset" can be a factor. This is a measurement of the relationship of the mounting surface of the wheel within the inside to outside edges of the wheel. This can be measured by laying a straight-edge over the inner edge of the rim, and then measuring from there to the mounting surface.


  2. Fit a ford *what*?  You need to compare the actual bolt circle of each vehicle.
