I am about 115lbs. What speed could I get out of this motor? What speed would I get out of a 148cc motor?

  1. no

  2. 22cc is marginal, but with the right gears it should work fine.

I had a 90 cc motorcycle. It weighed a lot more than a bicycle did, and it would cruise at 50 mph fine, with a 200 lb load.

  3. 1. yu'll never klimb a hill.

    Even 50cc is marjinal

    2. 148cc will power a small skooter or motocycle.

good nuff for puttin round, no racer.

  4. I made a little petrol (gas for the US) bicycle with a 24cc engine attached. I had to jam the throttle full open and then it could maintain a speed of about 20-25mph, but you had to peddle to get it to that speed first, for a leaf blower engine i didnt think that was too bad!

So it is possible to do but very underpowered, there are kits on ebay that bolt straight onto a bicycle if your not quite sure how to make one, there are some videos on youtube of peoples petrol bicycles.
