Will a 39-year old HOF Pitcher win the AL Cy Young?

Sorry to disagree but until Moose sees 300 wins he will only make it into Cooperstown as a paying customer.

BUT!!!  I would love to see my boy win the Cy Young! and having a 20+ game winning season.

First off, he is not a Hall of Famer.

I think he has a shot, especially if he gets 20 wins but Cliff Lee and Doc Halladay have both been having better seasons in my opinion and it's going to take a dropoff in their production for mussina to win it. He's got a shot though.

not unless he pitches a perfect game, or has some other impressive feat, these stats arent enough for him. the yanks' winning wont help either since they have such a huge name lineup. cliff lee leads the league in era and is 12-2 with a cellar team, francisco rodriguez is currently on pace to break the single season saves record in dominating fashion, roy halladay has a sub-3.00 era and is the only reason the blue jays are even close to .500. im a diehard orioles fan, and i love mike mussina anyway. hes having a very solid season and gives the yankees a much better chance of winning, but he wont get the cy young award. my guess is cliff lee, maybe k-rod.
