  1. I think that's too tall.  I'm 5' 8.25" male and I own a 56cm road bike.  I can ride it, but it is rather cumbersome for me when I'm stopped/starting.  I'm much more comfortble on my 54cm.

56cm is might be uncomfortable for you.  Then again you might be long-limbed.  Best to try out a 56cm bike, not necessarily that one, before deciding.

This is just how I size bikes (I'll probably get thumbs down from any bike expert that reads this).  Just step over the bike and make your feet shoulder width apart.  If you have 1-2 inches between your crotch and the bar, it's a good height.

  2. You may be able to ride it but it is likely a little large for you. At 5-8 I ride a 52 cm road bike but have used  54 before but never a 56.

  3. You might be able to get a leg over the bar and ride it, but most likely you'll find yourself a bit stretched out and  uncomfortable over longer distances.

You're more likely to need something in the 52-53 cm range.   Still, a test ride is the best course of action before dropping coin.
