  1. you could use the 7 hp but you wont move very fast


  2. realisticly you need to get a more powerful outboard for a boat of this size......................if you mean the part that goes above the propellor you can either weld it or seek help from a boat mechanic. it is vital for the efficiency of the engine

  3. it will puch it, nut you will spend a lot of time having a boat ride..

    Ive rented 12 foot aluminium dinghy's with 5 & 10 HP outboards--they plow through the water, wont plane out.

    be careful, it will take forever to get very far...

  4. What on earth do you mean by "foot" on an outboard?

    Gearcase?

    Bottom end?

    In front of the propeller?

    If you mean gearcase is froze, then it most likely got water in there and rusted the parts, very expesive to fix, can sometimes find a used one cheaper then replacing the internal parts.
