Will a 900 watts amp burn the speakers?

am trying to install a 900 watts 4 channels amplifier, but my front speakers are 170 watts, and my rear ones are 240, will the amp blow the speakers?

if all the numbers are in rms... then obiously yes. i believe its common sence that if you over-power anything.. it will fail soon.

ok first off turn both front and rear gains all the way down, set your front outputs to hpf( high pass filter) and set the rear to lpf(low pass filter) and then adjust the gain to your preference but be sure its not distorting at higher volumes
