the yamaha xv 750 & 920 basic engines are the same except for the bore size. the 750 is83mmx69.2mm and the 920 is92mmx69.2mm.

everything but the cylinders is the same.

BUT some of the 920's were chain drive instead of shaft drive like the xv750.

check to see which type of final drive your 920 has. if its shaft drive it should bolt right in.

the early xv's used the engine as part of the frame, like a vincent
