  3. A weather loach will survive in cool temps.  Their natural home in in mountain streams.  Loaches and goldfish are not always a good combination because the loaches get very large and fast and will suck the slime coat off of resting goldfish.

  4. Hey :-)

I have a Golden Algae Eater and he is in my tropical tank.  To be honest i would not put them in a cold water tank as you will find that they actually prefer warmer tempatures.  There colouring fades dramatically in cold water  In a tropical tank my Golden is a vibrant orange, in cold water he goes almost yellow/grey. Not nice.  When a fish colours are standing out, they are happy.  Also they are quite bullyish to other fish and on more than one occasion i have caught him trying to suck my catfishes.

If you are happy to put him in tropical then go for it.  They are really cool to watch, and fast.

    Hope this helps :-)
