Will a BT Duet 20 phone work on a BT Versatility phone system?

The cable on the duet 20 has 4 pins on the Bt socket and 2 on the little end.

I know I won't get all the features, but it still let me make and receive calls?

  1. Yes it will. But it must be in an analogue port

    hope this helps?

  2. Depends on the type of Versatility, some are analogue and some are ISDN and use ip. The line inside the sockets usually work on pins 2 and 5, however the line on most BT business systems work on pins 1 and 6. Plug the phone in and if it works you are ok, use recall to transfer calls (ie recall 21 or recall 21 hash) If not remove the front off the socket and change the wires, please note if your system is under any guarantee and you do this you may blow the line card, these can be expensive, try e-bay and buy the correct phone for a fraction of the price.
