Will a BlackBerry 8700 Work with a 3G sim card?

Will a BlackBerry 8700 Work with a 3G sim card? I originally had a samsung a737 and i got a BlackBerry 8700c. Will my New 3G sim card work in the Blackberry 8700?

Of course it will work! It just stores phone numbers and really doesn't affect your phone. I have a Curve from AT&T (not a 3G phone) and use the 3G sim. Its good to have so when you put that sim into a 3G phone it will run on the correct network. Trust me, we give out those 3G sims to every customer regardless of the phone they've bought. No, it won't, because the 8700c is not a 3G phone. The BlackBerry Bold will be 3G compatible.

the sim card isnt the issue  its the device and software  it should work but you will most like be on the smaller network  if u have att  it  will  show on your device as edge..
