Brett Favre will ALWAYS be a Legend and he will ALWAYS be loved. But will Aaron Rodgers, who a month or so ago was in the Unenviable position of following a Legend, NOW actually have fans ROOTING for him to put up big numbers?

  1. No, I think the guy will be hated regardless of what happens.

However, Ted Thompson is the real villain.

  2. no because aron rodgers is the whole reason the packers didn't need farve. so if aron rodgers wasn't there bret would stay and bret farve is better than rodgers so packer fans wont like him unless he puts up some huge numbers

  3. if he wins games, yes.

  4. No.  The Packer fans are divided and that is not good for Rodgers, even if his popularity goes up with the anti-Favre group.  Rodgers has already said publicly that what really gets him down is when young children shout insults at him as he walks by.  That's not what QB's like to hear. He might leave Green Bay as soon as his contract is up.

  5. It would help him more if you were his girlfreind.

  6. The last week has been very good for Aaron Rogers. Since he kept quite and didn't fan the flames, he's the one that comes out of this looking like an adult.

What a lot of Favre's buddies don't realize is that it was his constant stopping and starting that caused all of this in the first place.

The Packers are a business, and at the end of the day, need to be run like a business. Emotions are nice, but if you have a 38 year old QB who can't make up his mind and has a habit for throwing bad interceptions at the worst time versus a young 24 year old QB with a 10 year future, you take the cheaper future.

  7. I don't think so. I think more than half of those fans wanted to see Favre come back just based on the season he had last year. I think any time Rogers f's up the fans are gonna be wondering "yea, why didn't you let Favre come back, instead of having to watch this unproven QB" that is if Favre is doing good in NY. Now rogers has more pressure on him than any pro QB in the history of the game

  8. Yeah they want favre to eat his words. or actions

  9. no, unless its a bad popularity. if he starts out bad or has a bad day on opening day and throws 2 interceptions, everyone will want brett without giving aaron rodgers his real chance.

  10. Yes, but they wil be rooting for him to put up big numbers because they want their team to win, not because they of the Brett Farve problem.

  11. I don't know about a popularity boost...but Packer fans are going to expect big numbers from him.  With everyone in the Packer organization putting their money on him, if Rodgers doesn't perform people will be calling for heads to roll.
