That was a scene that all storm chasers sort of laughed at. Pure Hollywood. The Tornado would not do it. But all the debris traveling well over 150 mph would.

One of the clues to the strength of a tornado is how much scouring of the ground is done by the debris in the tornado. The more the scouring, the stronger the tornado. And F5 is the strongest.

No, in reality, they should not of lived through that scene.
