Will a North American charger work with a UK Nintendo DS?

We bought our DS in the UK, but we live in Canada. The charger that came with the DS (which we've been using with an adapter) seems to have died. Do we need to get another UK charger, or will a North American one work with a DS from the UK?

Yes I think that it would work you might want to check battery in the ds and see if it puts out as much power as the charger does.Hope this helps.
