Will a Power Tilt Trim Unit off of a 1982 Johnson 175 hp V-6 Outboard fit a 1977 johnson 75hp outboard?

The Power Tilt Trim Unit is off of a 1982 Johnson 175 hp V-6 Outboard and I was wanting to put it on a 1977 75hp Johnson outboard motor.

  1. No, the brackets are a completely different size.


  2. No, they are completely different brackets and the hydraulic cylinders are different.  The hydraulic motor and wiring might be adaptable.  Good Luck!
