You can’t see it happening in the women’s draw, especially with the in-form Elena Dementieva falling to Justine Henin in the second round. Dinara Safina has reached the final of a major three times already for no reward, and while Svetlana Kuznetsova has won two Grand Slams she’ll need to improve from her third round scare if she’s to shake things up later in the tournament.

In the men’s all hopes lie with Nikolay Davydenko and while the Russian may have had Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s measure over three sets recently, it’s still a big ask to expect him to repeat the dose over a five set match.

So, in conclusion, probably not.
