Will a TiVo box talk to a DirecTV DVR over the Internet?

My TiVo is connected to the Internet (via DSL line). If my brother (who lives elsewhere) connects his DirecTV DVR to the Internet, is there a way to configure them to communicate and transferprograms between them?

  1. Hi proudpreemieparents,

    No that will not work and you probably wouldn't want it to. It would drain all your resources trying to send the video.
