Will a Tivo work with Videotron? I bought one but I now see the units aren't available in Quebec.?

But I want to know if I got the box from another province since you cant buy them in Quebec, will it work with Videotron? Basically ok, I buy the box somewhere else but can I get service in Quebec?

Yes it will work Videotron. You activate the TiVo DVR at tivo.com. They have instructions for Canadian customers.

TiVo does not sell boxes in Canada, so Canadian residents must purchase boxes in the US and import them. If the DVR becomes defective, TiVo will not ship a warranty replacement box into Canada, and will only ship to a US address.
